High stakes and high tech meet at the River Spirit Casino, where Audiotek integrates AV technology throughout the Gridiron Sportsbar
Audiotek hit the jackpot when they took on the task of installing a new AV system in the Gridiron Sportsbar. Using Martin Audio products, Audiotek renewed the largest sports bar in Oklahoma.
After builders and fabricators from i5 Design introduced the project to Audiotek, the team began considering the installation’s requirements. This included ensuring the AV-over-IP was fully integrated with the existing network infrastructure.
Audiotek contracted Martin Audio for the project following a successful installation together at the Potawatomi Casino Hotel in Wisconsin. Chris Kmiec, the project manager, commented, saying, “We selected Martin Audio, due to a very strong worldwide relationship with the Martin Audio team and Audiotek.”
The audio design subsequently needed to manage sound levels in a high-energy environment, where echo and speech unintelligibility posed significant challenges. The solution involved specifying 40 of Martin Audio’s C8.1T 8in full-range ceiling speakers and 16 SX110 subwoofers. The team concealed these products in the ceiling, to distribute the sound evenly.
In the River Spirit Casino’s Locker Room, a private dining and meeting space, a pair of Martin Audio FlexPoint FP15 sit left and right of the video screen. This technology is powered by a combination of Dante-enabled multichannel iKON and Linear Research DSP amplifiers.
Kmiec described the renovation, stating, “The overall solution developed by the team for this space, maximised flexibility and functionality while maintaining both the quality and value required by the client.”
The River Spirit Casino continues to evolve by departing from traditional casino buffets and installing Martin Audio technology. This latest phase in the Casino’s evolution will support future developments in the gaming world.
